About Danville, IN

Thinking about a new start in a new town?  Danville, Indiana, a quaint town whose motto is, “A great place to spend an hour or a lifetime”, was founded in 1824 with a stake and four men.  They declared the center of town to be where their four properties met.  Today, Danville still holds the charm of yesteryear, yet has one of the best High Schools in Hendricks County, earning a National Bronze ranking with USNews Best High Schools.

Danville residents enjoy popular community festivals and events throughout the year, including downtown activities “On the Square” .  A county favorite, the popular Mayberry Cafe, is a step back in time with re-runs of The Andy Griffith Show, completed with decor and delicious comfort food.

The town also offers Ellis Park, a park with all the amenities, complete with a popular outdoor public pool.  For nature lovers there is Blanton Woods Park, with over 50 acres of marked trails, including handicapped accessible trails, ensuring everyone a relaxing environment.  So, come spend an hour or a lifetime in this quiet place, with great schools not too far out of Indianapolis, Danville, Indiana.
